As you may know, the library has a wide variety of feature films, including foreign language feature films. Some of the foreign language films make up a large enough collection to have their own separate section on the shelf and in the catalog, including Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.
However, for some of the other foreign languages, there aren’t enough films to make up their own collection. These foreign language films are shelved with the English language feature films, just waiting to be discovered. If you’ve ever needed a French film for a French class or just love German films, there is an easy way to search for these in the library catalog.
In the search box, just type in the keywords “feature films” and then type in the name of the country that you are looking for. For example, for French films you would type in “feature films france” and for German films you would type in “feature films germany.” Once you find an available title, just look in the feature films section under the first letter of the title. Hopefully you’ll discover some hidden gems in our feature films collection!
