Classic Crafts and Recipes for the Holidays

You may already know that Sunnyvale Library is a great place to save money.  The library provides books, DVD’s, magazines, CD’s, computers, educational programs, and a quiet place to study, all for free!

The library is also filled with information that can help you save money during this holiday season.

Instead of buying expensive gifts, you could show your love and appreciation by giving family and friends homemade baked goods.  The library has books on how to make your own cookies, breads, pies, and even a section on holiday cookery.

If baking is not your forte, you could still make very special handmade gifts with the help of the library’s books on knitting, sewing, or scrapbooking.

The library also has books on holiday crafts, so you can save money by making your own holiday cards, wreaths, and homemade wrapping paper. And if Christmas ornaments are not in your budget this year, you could even make your own Christmas decorations.

Handmade items will not only save you money and a trip to the mall during this holiday season.  They might even make the holidays more special for you and your loved ones, because of the thought, love, and personalization that goes into a handmade gift.
