Work, summer school, high gas prices…there are plenty of reasons to skip a vacation right now. But staying home this summer doesn’t mean you can’t get away from it all — take a short trip to the library and lose yourself in one of our travel and adventure stories. Look for some of these titles, or ask a librarian to help you find others.

No Reservations

If you’re still in the mood to wander, let the library’s selection of guidebooks and travel videos help you plan a trip. (Look for Dewey Decimal numbers 910 through 919 in Adult Nonfiction and Special Interest Videos). Or, visit the magazine section and browse through our issues of Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Sunset, and more.
