Foreclosure Concerns: Selected Resources July 28, 2008

Millions of homeowners are at risk of losing their homes.  Lack of vital information can make that concern seem almost unbearable.  The library carries books that can educate you on the steps taken during foreclosure, and ways to communicate with your lender(s), and possibly save your home.  With new legislation, it’s wise to keep up with current information.


  Below are just two of the library’s new books that deal with this subject:

The author offers honest advice on your options regarding foreclosure, weighs the pros and cons of each, and shares smart, practical strategies for lowering your payments and keeping your home.  Also covered are the too-good-to-be-true foreclosure rescue offers you should avoid, and offers real alternatives that work now!

332.72 R  Roberts, Ralph R. Foreclosure Self-Defense for Dummies. c2008

Foreclosure Self-Defense for Dummies offers tips on how to avoid or delay foreclosure of a house, such as refinancing, paying forebearance to catch up on payments, and re-purchasing a home by selling it to an investor and negiotating terms with them.
