Tomorrow, Thursday, January 17, the Library’s Monthly Book Group will discuss Ann Kirschner’s “Sala’s Gift”. Sala survived five years as a slave in seven different Nazi work camps. Living in America after the war, she did not share her history with her family. In 1991, on the eve of heart surgery, Sala presented her daughter with over 350 letters, photos and a diary she had saved from the war. This book, written by her daughter Ann, weaves letters from Sala’s collection with a powerful narrative to tell an unforgettable story of love and courage amidst the horrors of the Holocaust.
Please join us at 7 p.m. in the small conference room on the second floor of the Library
